IMDb and Easterseals Disability Services Celebrate Disability Pride Month

This July, for Disability Pride Month, Easterseals Southern California is proud to partner with IMDb and IMDbPro to spotlight authentic disability representation across film and television. 

In a landmark first, IMDb is launching a dedicated homepage feature focused on disability and amplifying the work of disabled talent in front of and behind the camera. 

Throughout July and August, IMDb’s homepage and IMDbPro will showcase curated lists, editorial features, and exclusive video content that highlight stories told by and about disabled talent. 

Here’s what to look for on IMDb and IMDbPro:

Spotlight on Disability: A refreshed homepage section on IMDb will feature:

• Disability Community Stars to Watch
• Disability Icons of Film and Television
• IMDb’s Picks for Disability Pride Month
• A 'Disability Pride Authentic Watchlist' video 

Original Video Content: Interviews and features with trailblazers like Nyle DiMarco, Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur, Alaqua Cox, Lauren Ridloff, and many more.

Talent Watchlist Videos: Exclusive insights from disabled creatives sharing what they’re watching this Disability Pride Month.

Easterseals Disability Film Challenge Recognition: IMDb will feature recent winners of the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, celebrating innovative, inclusive storytelling from within our own community.

IMDbPro Featured Members: IMDbPro will spotlight 23 disabled professionals during July and August in a rotating homepage widget.

We’re especially excited that this collaboration elevates our Reimagining Hollywood report, a first-of-its-kind blueprint for disability inclusion in the entertainment industry.
